Wisent
(Bison bonasus)

Main habitat: in reserves in Poland and Russia
Appearance: o very similar to bison, however less stronger built, thick and woolly coat, around the eyes and snout plain, up 1000 kg
Lifestyle: o he was earlier broadened in whole Europe, today only in 
semi-wild herds in reserver. There are 3 in Poland and 11 in Russia, o The biggest herds can be found in Białowieży Forest on the border between both countries, o Wisents are herbivores, their main food consists of leaves, ferns,
branches barks and also of acorn in autumn
Reproduction:
After the 9-month gestation period female gives birth to one infant, which stays with her for 2-3 years
