Welcome to the Zoological Garden of Eberswalde

The Zoological Garden of Eberswalde lies in the midst of a beautiful area of mixed woods and it is the home of about 1400 animals from five different continents. The zoo measures about 15 hectares.

Several groups of monkeys live in the trees freely. Additional there are a several open space habitats without a fence, the most exiting lion enclosure of the world, walk-in animal enclosures and generously designed nature-like aviaries which make the visit of the zoo unforgettable for the entire family.
Not only offers the zoo a special view of the wonderful world of the animals, but also a source of education for everybody.

The unique Zooschool offers interesting opportunities to learn about the importance of a sensible interaction with nature as well as lessons for children and adults.

Young visitors have the opportunity to visit five different adventure playgrounds - and of course the petting zoo. And, those who like to, can get married at the zoo or celebrate an unforgettable childrenīs birthday. The latest attraction of the Eberswalde Zoois the Glacial Landscape, in which the tiger enclosure is integrated. Its construction was subsidized by the Pomerania. Now there is a glacial playground with an "education trail" an climate and climate changes. Here you will find the enclosure of the Sibirian Tigers.

On the glacial playground children can easily learn, what a glacier is and how the ice age formed our landscape. Of course, from the playground the children have the best view of the endangered Sibirian Tigers.
