Habitation: northern parts of America, Europe and Asia
Appearance: o whiters height from 90 to 140 cm, o the coat is thick and long;
dark grey-brown or light-coloured,
o only in this species male and female carry horns, o far ramified pole-shaped horns; o broad hoofs with elastic skin
Lifestyle: o lives sociably and flocks in big herds, o hierarchy in group established by size of the horns; o wanders in the arctic winter
Reproduction: o in mating time the male seek for harem, o mating in October
 o Pregnancy duration: 230 days
 o 1 calf
 o calfs are able to walk
   and run an hour after
   the birth
 
  Nourishment: o grass,
   herbs, mushroom,
   foliage and lichen in
   the winter
