Habitation: Coast areas of Peru and Chile
: o body length of about 60 cm, o Sides of the body black-grey, base body white 
with irregular black-grey spots, o black stripe over the chest, white stripes on the head
Lifestyle: o hunt in groups, o stick together mostly in slack water, o excellent swimmer
Reproduction: o build a nest in the underground structures, hollows and gaps
o partner's choice once a year; relationship can last for many years, o 1 - 2 eggs
  o infants are raised by both parents
   Nourishment: o fish
   (anchovies and sardines)
