Red-necked Wallaby

Habitation: Australia, Tasmania and the islands of the Bass Strait
Lifestyle: o occupy almost all landscapes of it's habitation area; particularly forests, bushes or flat pebble hollows. It's activity is mainly at dusk, particularly in the morning and evening. Mostly social animal, in pairs or in small harem-like families. They move normally by hopping with support of the tail. Tail is also used as the
inceptor in case of danger when they flee away and use it for balance. Red-necked wallabies had adapted them- selves in Europe in 19th century. They breed here very well and can sustain cold winters, when eventually fall victim.

   Reproduction: o After 30-day pregnancy, blind born,
   big thumb babies leave the pouch after 6 months and
   after 13-18 become sexually mature.

   Nourishment: o grass, herbs, field crops
